Dr. Bradley M. Lamm is Head of Foot and Ankle Surgery at the International Center for Limb Lengthening (ICLL). He is a board-certified podiatric foot and ankle surgeon who graduated from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia and was chief surgical resident at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After completing a fellowship in foot and ankle trauma in Graz, Austria, and a fellowship in limb lengthening and deformity correction at the International Center for Limb Lengthening, Dr. Lamm trained directly with Dr. Ignacio V. Ponseti to learn the Ponseti method of clubfoot treatment.
He joined the International Center for Limb Lengthening surgical team in 2004 and specializes in the treatment of foot, ankle, and lower leg conditions in both children and adults. He treats diabetic foot deformities, ankle disorders, athletic injuries, arthritis, flatfoot, bunions, hammertoes, and various other foot and ankle ailments. Dr. Lamm has vast experience in a new technique called joint distraction that uses external fixation to preserve the ankle and great toe joints and prevent the need for fusion or replacement. He has developed minimally invasive surgery to correct the diabetic Charcot foot and to lengthen metatarsals and toes.
Dr. Lamm is known for his ability to correct challenging foot and ankle deformities. As a result, he has been voted a Top Doctor in Baltimore Magazine multiple times. Dr. Lamm’s expertise is far reaching as he treats patients from all over the world with foot and ankle deformities. He has been awarded numerous grants, has published medical research in national and international journals, and lectures nationally and internationally. Dr. Lamm is an editor of the Research Section of the Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery and a peer reviewer for various medical journals. He is the Director of the Foot and Ankle Deformity Correction Fellowship and serves as a medical advisor on the Board of Directors for the Board of Certification/Accreditation, International. Dr. Lamm is an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School. He also trains residents from many surgical programs across the U.S.A. Dr. Lamm enjoys biking, fly-fishing, boating, sailing, horseback riding, soccer, lacrosse and dancing.
